The key issue reflected on by this panel of experts is whether we’ve already reached a stage at which artificial intelligence can be harnessed to improve the teaching process, together with what’s still needed to move on to a stage at which all kinds of institutions not only acknowledge its usefulness, but also regard it as a valuable learning opportunity. In this regard, several of the keys to any transition in education characterised by technology are teacher training, knowledge of how new products and services (in this case those associated with artificial intelligence) work, and, finally, the ethical aspects stemming from their use.
