Rebecca Henderson, economist and professor at Harvard Business School, answers questions from Isabela del Alcázar Benjumea, Global Head of Sustainability at IE University, on a new way of reimagining capitalism. Henderson argues that society, and companies, are facing a time of major change, where industries must not only be concerned with profit, but must go beyond that, towards a responsibility aligned with the great challenges of tomorrow, such as climate change or social challenges. This does not require putting profit or economic interests aside, but balancing the two to bring about the changes the industry needs.
