Reinventing Education in a Digital World.
enlightED, the world education, technology and innovation congress, will be back for the fourth time on the 19th, 20th and 21st of October this year in a special format: the enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021. During the three-day event, experts and reference figures from Spain and other countries will reflect on the major educational challenges of our times.
Experts who have already confirmed their participation in the enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021 include Kiran Bir Sethi and Howard Gardner, who will chat about the major gaps created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Howard Gardner, a psychologist, researcher and Harvard University lecturer, is a leading thinker in the area of education and human development and is known in the scientific field for his theory of multiple intelligences. He has received numerous international awards throughout his career such as the Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences and the Brock International Award for Education, among others. Gardner has also studied and written extensively about intelligence, creativity, leadership and professional ethics, and he co-directs the Zero Project and is a co-founder of The Good Project.
At the enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021, Gardner will be in conversation with Kiran Bir Sethi, a former designer and educator and finalist for the Global Teacher Prize 2019. Her non-profit organisation Design for Change was founded in 2009 and now operates in 70 different countries, promoting educational innovation through social entrepreneurship with training, support and cooperation for development of products and services. In 2001 in India, Kiran founded the Riverside School, a centre that has designed, implemented and shared an alternative study programme focused on the children and their quality learning and wellbeing.
