Reinventing Education in a Digital World.
Fundación Telefónica, together with IE University and South Summit, is set to hold the fourth enlightED conference on 19, 20 and 21 October. The hybrid format event will bring together experts and thinkers from Spain and abroad, and the line-up of exceptional speakers who have already confirmed their participation – Howard Gardner, Kiran Bir Sethi, Michelle Weise, Linda Liukas, Ignacio Medrano and Hadi Partovi – will now be joined by other leading figures.
The new speakers at enlightED will be Vinton Cerf, considered the “father of the Internet”; Daniel Goleman, psychologist and writer; Rafael Nadal, the famous Spanish tennis star; María Brown, Ecuador’s Minister of Education; Milton Ribeiro, the Brazilian Minister of Education; Oli-Pekka Heinonen, the former Finnish Minister of Education and currently Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organization; Wendy Kopp, founder of Tech for All; and Dean Kamen, creator of the Segway and the iBOT and the founder of FIRST.
At enlightED Hybrid Edition 2021 these outstanding experts and thinkers will reflect on three of the main inequalities affecting ICTs, aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic: the challenge of narrowing the innovation gap to transform educational systems, the challenge of addressing the lack of skills for new social demands, and how to address the lack of digital skills to recover the connection with young people and promote positive change.
